To find out whether you have been listed in a directory you could do the following:

• Check your email regularly as 1 in every 3 directories send out emails acknowledging submissions made and some of them also send out follow-up mails informing you of whether your site has been approved
• Check random directories for the presence of your link
• Type in the following search command into Google:
  
  +"abc.com"<space>+directory -site:www.abc.com
  
  (where www.abc.com is your URL ). This would give you a rough indication of the number of pages apart from your own, which have the word 'directory' and your URL mentioned in them.
• Type this command into Google to check for your link in a particular directory:
  
  +"abc.com"<space>site:xyz.com
  
  (where abc.com is your website URL and xyz.com is the particular directory's URL).
