I dont see my directory links showing up in the Google index. Why is this?

After submissions for a site have been completed, directory links do not appear immediately. This is because each site has to undergo review before being listed in the directory. The process of review and approval could take anywhere from 3 days to 3 months. Not all sites are necessarily reviewed. On an average, it is seen that that submissions typically return 30-35% link approvals within a period of 3 months.

If your site has been submitted and approved, it would take some time before Google actually finds and indexes your links. Besides, Google does not show each and every link pointing to your site. For a more accurate link count, you could instead use Yahoo site explorer. You could also type in the following command into Google's search box: "abc.com"<space> directory -site:www.abc.com (where www.abc.com is your URL)

The results that show up should give you a fairly good idea as to the number of pages apart from your own, which have the word 'directory' and your URL mentioned in them.
